Cal Rentals

Cal Rentals is a service that offers rental listings to aid in your housing search for a small fee ($20-25). Students who subscribe to Cal Rentals services may obtain updates online. Craigslist

If you are looking for something, anything, chances are you can find it on Craigslist online classified ads. The ads are free to browse, and often free to post (housing listings are free,) making it readily accessible to everyone with internet. This site helps you get in touch with people looking for roommates, subletters, and summer renters, and is the best place to find private rooms and apartments to rent for the summer. It also allows you to advertise yourself in the "Housing Wanted" section, which we highly recommend. (You could have people e-mailing you asking you to live with them!)

To look for housing, click on the Housing link, and be sure to select the East Bay category at the top of the page for housing near Berkeley. There are other sorting options that allow you to sort by rent, type of house/apt., neighborhood (we recommend Berkeley), and so on.

My Apartment Map

My Apartment Map is an apartment search engine that allows users to find apartment listings all over the United States. Searchers can view pictures, maps, rental data, find deals, post rentals and contact property owners. PadMapper plots apartments on a big map, and lets you filter for exactly what you want. There are also neat overlays to help you learn about the different areas.
