Your First Day
Summer 2012 Program Dates: 13 Jun – 3 Aug 2012
Orientation: 13 June 2012 - 8 AM - 4PM (Bldg 7, Room 211)
Orientation: 20 June 2012 - 9 AM - 10 AM (Bldg 7, Room 211)
10 AM - 4 PM - Meet and spend rest of the day with mentor.
Please be at the Laboratory promptly on the first day. During the first two days, we will hold an orientation, advise you of your assignments, and take care of the administrative matters associated with getting you started at the Laboratory.
You will meet your mentors and start work once orientation is complete.
You must bring with you:
- Your bus pass - bus passes will be emailed to you; if you do not receive it one week prior to your first day, email BLIPS@lbl.gov
- A government-issued picture ID (e.g. driver's license)
- Your proof of medical coverage
- Permanent Residents (non-citizens) must bring their Permanent Resident ID and passport or driver's license
How to get to the laboratory
Note: Parking regulations do not allow participants to park at the Laboratory, so if you are a participant, you must take the shuttle or have someone drop you off. All drivers must present government issued ID to be allowed on site.
Free shuttle buses are available near the Berkeley BART Station.
There are maps showing each route and their stops, schedules, and other useful information.
Tell the driver where you are going and ask her/him to alert you at the stop.If you have trouble or get lost call the CSEE Main Office 510.486.5511.
