- 10 December 2010 - Online applications available
- 18 February 2011 - Deadline to complete and submit online application
- 4 March 2011 - Deadline to have letters of recommendation submitted online
- 4 March 2011 - Deadline for post-marked official transcripts mailed to:

Transcripts should cover 9th grade through the first semester of 11th grade
Weighted GPA preferred, otherwise unweighted GPA as reflected on official transcripts accepted on application.
Note: There is no minimum GPA requirement to gain acceptance into the program.
- 31 May 2011 - Last day offers made to applicants
Application & Placement Process
- Applicant completes and submits BLIPS Online Application, including email addresses of recommenders
- An email is sent to recommender requesting recommendation for applicant; includes a link to application so recommender can submit online
- Applicant mails official transcripts directly to LBNL
- CSEE Selection Committee reviews anonymous applications and scores them according to the BLIPS Application Review Rubric
- CSEE makes placements from applicant pool based on scores and available mentors
- Applicants are notified of acceptance into the program by 31 May 2011
